Welcome to my review of the Samsung LN46B650.  I hope you find it informative.  I'll be paying special attention to the qualities of HDTV and EDTV, and which is better between the two, also with special attention being paid to the Samsung LN46B650 of course!

Sometimes it's hard to know what to go for when you're buying a new Television.  You sometimes need to have a little inside info.  This will help you decide what is an all round better choice for you in particular.

The Samsung LN46B650 is an all round great TV.  It has a 46 inch screen with 16:9 wide-screen aspect ratio.  It's great for watching just about anything on.  It also has Samsung's new Touch of Color design on it, which is basicly red finishes of the the black gloss paint - way cool.

Before you go any further, the first thing you'll want to think about is what kind of TV you want.  There are two types of modern TV nowadays - HDTV (High Definition Television) and EDTV (Enhanced Definition Television).  With so many different sizes, styles and brands to choose from you may get a little lost when choosing.

So, between HDTV and EDTV, which is higher quality?

The simple answer is that High Definition Television is better, although Enhanced Definition Television technology wasnt created to be a direct competitor of the HDTV. 

EDTV  was designed to be simply better than standard televisions of the past, but not as high quality or as high priced as the HDTV - simply an alternitive.

Therefore if it's a top of the line, crystal clear TV you're after, then HDTV technology should be the aswer to your prayers.

The main reason as to why HDTV technology is better than EDTV technology, is because the pictures are so lifelike.  That's because HDTV has 720 progressive scans whereas EDTV technology only has 480 - which makes watching a football game seem like your looking through the window of the commentator booth!

When it comes to buying a new, modern TV, I would highly reccommend that you go for the new Samsung LN46B650.  It's been flying off the shelves of every supplier since it's release because it's so darn good!  (Touted to be the best ever 46 inch TV!)

First of all, search online before you buy.  You'll get better deals online than you will at your local electronics store.  That's because online suppliers don't have to pay rent for their store, so they can pass the savings onto their customers.  And don't settle for anything less than free delivery!

Hey Guys!  Here's another review from me for the Samsung LN46B650.  Love it I do!

As you already know, Samsung have just released their newest LCD HDTV models to the market.

A great line of technology, they come with Samsung's new Touch of Color design.  In the words of Big Gay Al "super fabulous!"  Erm... Yeah, they look great.

The Samsung LN46B650's particular Touch of Color design is a little different than the rest of the TV's in it's line.  It has a shiny black gloss finish around the frame of the TV, with a thin translucent red trim around the edges of the frame.  Check out the picture at the top of this hub! 

The base of the TV has a slight downward curve to it to enhance space for the red accent, and make it more appealing.  I personally think it looks great, as I've never seen any TV with more than one color to it, apart from this Samsung line, although the LN46B650's is a bit different, like I said, which makes it even more unique.

I ordered my Samsung LN46B650 about 2 weeks ago and have watched pretty much every genre on it.  Lots of DVDs and lots of Blu-Rays too.  The picture qualities are crystal clear, and the colors spectacular.

The only downside is the screen itself...  When the TV's turned off, it's easy to tell that it has a glossy finish to it.  I must say that it looks pretty cool when it's turned off, but when you're watching the TV, you have to pull the drapes during the day, as the glare from it can be a pain in the butt sometimes!

The audio system has been upgraded from the previous line of samsung models too.

My favourite feature (oh yes, I've saved the best 'til last my friend) is that it's internet ready!  And with me being a bit of an internet nerd (did I give it away?) that's awesome!  Whip it out of the box, hook it up to your Ethernet connection with either a wired or wireless connection, and surf away on content from Flickr, Yahoo! and YouTube!  Sawweeeeeet!
